TIME - CGSociety challenge - past by JanJinda
TIME - CGSociety challenge - past
This is past half of my final entry for TIME challenge. Goal was to create print ad for new TIME machine.

I think that in 2055, when our TIME machine will be made, time travelling will aim to entertainment industry. People will be bored by movies and they will want something more. So The Foundry will decide to give people next level of entertainment. Huge thank for initial idea and patience belongs to my girlfriend Zuzana.
 
Because of that, I think advertisement should follow this concept, where actual TIME machine is not important. What is important is the experience. I tried to show that you can enjoy your stay in past or future, it's up to you. Choose your TIME.
 
As for creation process, I started in ZBrush where I sculpted hero's body from simple cube. Then I moved to MODO for retopology, props modeling, mapping, rigging. Texturing was done in MARI and for sure shading, lighting, rendering in MODO. Composition is NUKE stuff. Obviously MODO was my core 3d app, as it is for all my projects.

I’m 27 years old 3D artist, born in small city in southern Czech Republic, now living in capital Prague. I’ve met world of CG in approximately 2004. At 2006 I started my professional career, working as 3D generalist at local game studio Cinemax, after a year I moved to VFX industry into UPP company. I was working on lots of movies and commercial. After 2 years in UPP I decided to start my freelance career trying to focus especially on modeling, sculpting and texturing work. Currently I'm back in VFX again, working in R.U.R. Prague.
